DATUM（デイタム）は、「KIVA DESIGN（キバ デザイン）」の創設者でもあるTOM KOENIG（トム・コーニグ）氏が、クラシックでありながらも現代的で都会的な機能を盛り込んだ “アーバン・アウトドア” をコンセプトに、2010年アメリカ・カリフォルニアでスタートしたアウトドアギアブランド。日本には2013年S/Sに初上陸。
DATUMとは、科学・地理・設計などで用いられる“基準点”であり、また目標や目的地にナビゲートするポイントである。全てのアイテムは、日常のどんな種類のアドベンチャーであっても、ゴールへ到着するために十分通用する機能を兼ね備えている。DATUMのプロダクトは、多くのキャリーギア・ブランドと共に歩んできた豊かな歴史があるアメリカ・カリフォルニア州で、〝キャリーノミクス” という信念の下、人間工学と素材の科学に基づいた快適で効率的なアウトドアギアとして生産されている。
DATUM is the Outdoor Gear brand starting in California in 2010 which Tom KOENIG, who found KIVA DESIGN, established based on the concept of Urban Outdoor to bring classic and as the same time contemporary and modern functionality. In 2013 spring/summer, DATUM landed Japan for the first time.
DATUM means the reference point used in science, geography and design work etc. or the point to navigate to a target and a goal. All the items are provided with enough functionality to reach the goal whatever daily adventures are.
